I’m Lucas. I’m a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Canva Research in Sydney. In my job I build agents and train LLMs to design using Canva. I’m halfway between a researcher and a product engineer. My writing here though is for my side projects and musings.

Outside of work, I’m a dad, squash player, aspiring cinephile and a general tinkerer.
